The industry in which Trip Travel operates does not lend itself to compromise especially regarding service delivery levels. Passengers and travelers are generally well informed and are able to source travel information before consulting a travel agent. Therefore, I am pleased that one of the primary values of Trip Travel is customer satisfaction. This is exemplified by continuing to make sure that no effort is spared to ensure that our customer's expectations are met and excellent service delivery at all times.

Trip Travel recruits dynamic and talented young Namibians, who hail from previously disadvantaged communities. Further, Trip Travel has implemented a training program which each employee is part of and adheres to. Whilst dividends from such capacity building training programs cannot be effectively measured in the short term, it is with pride that Trip Travel is beginning to reap the benefits from the program.
BACKGROUND
Trip Travel (Pty) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Trip Travel”) is a truly Namibian company and has been operating for the past 55 years. Trip Travel is 100% wholly owned Namibian company, with a Black Economic Empowerment Consortium holding 56% majority ownership. For sometime Trip Travel has been the largest ticket contributor to Air Namibia 's income streams. Trip Travel is proud to renew its commitment to Government, Air Namibia and the travel industry of our continued support of strategic alliances, for the betterment of the Namibian tourism industry, whilst operating within a win-win framework. Some of the challenges faced by the travel industry are zero-commissions, which I am pleased to say have not affected the service-level delivery of Trip Travel.
AIR NAMIBIA
Trip Travel values and supports Government's policy to promote the national airline through utilizing, wherever practicable, the services of Air Namibia . Being the single largest distributor of Air Namibia tickets, which currently exceeds N$15,2 million, Trip Travel is pleased to set the bar for other travel agencies and to date this amount has not been matched. This truly represents the amount of travel business which Trip Travel is funneling to our local airline and is a strong indicator of Trip Travel's contribution towards the Namibian economy, whilst taking our clients needs into account.

Flight Reservations |
As an IATA, ASATA, ANTA and SEEKERS accredited travel agency Trip Travel offers cost effective flight reservations to all destinations. Preference for any particular airline is of course, a must taken into consideration whenever reservations are made. Trip Travel's association with Seekers and Amex Travels gives Trip Travel a firm representation in the international arena.

Accommodation |
Trip Travel takes pride in giving the customers a choice of their specific accommodation needs, no matter where – regionally, nationally, and internationally. Certain corporate discounts are available, with preferred accommodation establishments (with bill back facilities).

Car Hire |
Trip Travel is an agent for a number of internationally recognized car rental companies. A mutually beneficial relationship exists with Imperial Car Rental and Avis from with special rates which are passed onto our customers. However, should the customer prefer any other car rental company, Trip Travel will oblige.

Delivery service |
In Windhoek and Swakopmund, Trip Travel delivers airline tickets and itinerary travel documents, free of charge, to its customers, should they so wish.

Incentive programme and other special services |
Special programs sports tours, staff incentive programs, conferencing, etc. can be provided for. This could include soccer, rugby or any other sports packages.

Airline Loyalty |
Incentives earned through airline programs are passed onto the customers. Trip Travel would like to ensure that all travelers are in possession of the royalty programs with the airlines. For business class travels, Trip Travel ensures the usage of airport lounges to make all customers' trip as comfortable as humanly possible.

Leisure Travel |
Trip Travel provides a complete leisure travel section. The main purpose of this is to serve the exotically tropical islands such as Mauritius , Seychelles and Madagascar .

Team Building experiences |
Trip Travel offers unforgettable team building experiences that offer a wide rage of activities, including 4x4 concessions undertaken between Luderitz and Walvis Bay .

Specials |
Airline packages or any other specials are passed on to our customers. As a common practice at Trip Travel, Trip Travel communicates the “specials” to the customers whenever the specials are received from the airlines.

Visas |
Trip Travel has a department which offers professional and timeous visa services. The department also advises clients regarding visa requirements and/or any other information relevant to a specific destination.

Travel insurance |
Trip Travel provides a service with the international insurance company, AIG. This service provides all frequent travelers with a “plastic insurance card”. Trip Travel activates the card as the airline ticket is being issued. The plastic card ensures full travel insurance and emergency insurance. The passenger will be covered from his or her home until he or she arrives back at home. Should the service of a medical practitioner be needed, this service makes a special provision for no access payment and a taxi service to pick up the traveler from his or her hotel and transport him or her to the medical practitioner free of charge.

Emergency Services |
Trip Travel provides a 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency service all customers.

Accounting services |
Trip Travel issues an invoice to the customer on receipt of a customer's instruction and post the following day. C ar hire, tours, hotel, etc., are billed on receipt of the supplier's invoice. Statements reflecting full travel particulars are posted on the 2 nd day of each month. Statements are payable within seven (7) days from the date of the issued statement. A customer control account can be generated whenever requested.
