TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Prices
Prices quoted are based on airfares, tariffs and rates of exchange prevalent at the time of quotation. Until Trip Tours has received full payment we reserve the right to charge any variations to the clients account. However, once full payment is received the price of the land arrangements is guaranteed.

Not Included
Prices quoted do not include airport departure taxes, cost of obtaining visas and passports, telephone calls, laundry, entertainment arrangements not shown in the itinerary, meals and beverages, unless actually specified and any other items of personal nature.

Reservations and Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 20 % of the quoted price is payable at the time of reservation. The balance is due not less than 6 weeks prior to departure. Trip Tours reserves the right to cancel any reservation for which full payment has not been received. For bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to departure full payment is required immediately.

NB: Reservations will only be regarded as confirmed bookings when the deposit has been received by Trip Tours and when Trip Tours official booking passenger detail form has been completed in full and signed by the client.

Cancellation and Refunds
In accordance with the policy adopted by Tour Operators word-wide Trip Tours reserve the right to cancel any tour of booking before departure, in which event the entire payment will be refunded without any further obligation on the part of Trip Tours. In the event you wish to cancel your reservation for any reason such cancellation must be received in writing and cancellation charges will be levied as follows:

6 Weeks prior to departure 20 % of the total
4 Weeks prior to departure 50 % of the total
2 Weeks prior to departure 100 % of the total

These charges are in addition to any levied by airlines. In the event of failing to join a tour, or join a tour after departure, or leave the tour prior to completion, no portion of the price is refundable.

Amendments
Providing amendments do not incur a cancellation fee from the service amended, any such amendments of a confirmed booking will incur a fee per amendment. Any additional costs beyond Trip Tours normal prices incurred as a result of late booking shall be for the clients account.

Unused Services
No refund will be considered for any unused services irrespective of whether they form part of the correct documentation before departure. Trip Tours does not accept responsibility for any consequences whatsoever arising from a passenger failing to ensure that he or she complied with the necessary health, passport and visa requirements.

All passengers will be personally responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of the correct documentation before departure. Trip Tours does not accept responsibility for any consequences whatsoever arising from a passenger failing to ensure that he or she complied with the necessary health, passport and visa requirements.

Responsibility Clause
All reservations, booking and arrangements are made on the express conditions that Trip Tours, their servants and agents shall not be responsible for, and shall be exempt from, all liability in respect of any loss, damage, accident, delay or inconvenience to any person, or his or her luggage, or other property, wherever, whenever and however the same may occur. Trip Tours acts as an agent only in producing and operating tours and bookings and shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury that may be occasioned by any defect in any vehicle, or other form of conveyance, or by error or default of any company or person engaged in conveying clients, carrying out the arrangements of the tour, or otherwise in connection therewith. South African Airways and other IATA carries are not to be held responsible for any act or mission or event during the time clients are not aboard the aircraft or conveyance. The carriers liability for acts, events and omissions which occur during the carriage by air is governed by applicable laws and regulations and by the conditions appearing on the carriers tickets, which constitutes the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of these tickets and/or passenger.

Insurance
Travel and cancellation insurance is compulsory on all tours arranged by Trip Tours. The client is fully aware that it is his/her responsibility to take out insurance. Clients will effect personal insurance and be satisfied that their insurance fully covers their personal requirements. Trip Tours will not be held liable for any omission on the part of the clients in obtaining adequate insurance.

Itinerary variations and delays
Trip Tours does not hold itself responsible nor can it be held responsible for any delays prior to departure, or during the course of any tour or booking created by Trip Tours whether brought about by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions, political unrest, or any other circumstance whatsoever foreseen or unforeseen. Expenses incurred by any such circumstances are for the clients account. It may be necessary due to certain circumstances beyond Trip Tours control to make certain changes to transport timings, itineraries or to hotel accommodation and under such circumstances Trip Tours shall at its sole and absolute discretion be entitled to make the necessary changes. Trip Tours will Endeavour to advise as soon as possible and keep any inconvenience to a minimum. In the unlikely event of a change in accommodation, substitute accommodation of a similar standard will be supplied if available. Where the client's requests upgrading of accommodation, a cancellation fee may be charged and the difference in accommodation cost will be for the clients account.

Special requests
In line with Trip Tours policy of detailed individual service to clients all efforts will be made to meet clients requests. However it is understood that additional expenses incurred as a result of such request are for the client's own account. Special request will be passed to the services concerned but cannot be guaranteed by Trip Tours

Release of Travel documents
Documents (tickets, vouchers, itineraries, etc) are only prepared on receipt of full and final payment, travel declaration and a booking and passenger detail form duly signed.
