Phuket
Phuket is an island in the Andaman sea — part of the Indian ocean — on the southwest side of Thailand.
In fact there are 32 islands within the local administration area which surrounds Phuket. The main island measures 21.3 km by 48.7km and isThailand’s biggest island. It has mountains running mainly from a range in the north down the west coast. The highest mountain is Mai Tao Sip Song — translates as 12 Cane Peak — which reaches 529m. On the west are sandy beaches and this is the main attraction.
